Amarone Riserva

AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA DOC CLASSICO RISERVA

Amarone Riserva expresses right from its intense, strong color, the great concentration of material that goes into its composition. It is a wine that requires a prolonged period of maturation and just for that reason reveals its true nature only after several minutes in the glass. The sweet fruit is reminiscent of ripe cherries in spirit, carob, dried prunes and faded violets, but then come the spices, nutmeg and cloves, the hints of musk and underbrush. The mouth is enveloping and thrills for its great power, elegantly restrained by the fine, almost evanescent tannins that reawaken the savory sweetness of the fruit in its long, persistent tail.
It is a wine to enjoy slowly, giving it time to reveal itself little by little. We love Amarone, and this Riserva is just the way we wanted it, capable of proving the longevity and positive evolution of this great wine over the course of the years.
Amarone Riserva is produced only in certain years and in a limited number of bottles. It is a wine to keep for your special occasions.

Campomasua

CAMPOMASUA AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA DOCG CLASSICO

Campomasua has a dense garnet red color, very intense and luminous. To the nose it is initially austere and introspective, dense and highly concentrated, but little by little it reveals its true nature. Sweet hints begin to emerge, reminiscent of tiny dark fruits, the petals of wilted violets and roses, cocoa powder, prunes and walnuts. In the mouth it is rich, strong, flavorful, balanced and highly refined.
It undergoes a lengthy maturing process that allows the wine to develop its substance and amalgamate its structure slowly. Like the gnarled trunk of an old vine that, undisturbed, continues to grow and bear fruit, Campomasua knows how to evolve in time and deliver new shadings of flavor with the passage of time.
Campomasua can accompany elaborate dishes, but thanks to its rich flavor it is even more satisfying by itself or paired with dark chocolate.

amarone

Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG CLASSICO

With its intense, luminous garnet red color, Amarone is concentrated and dense. Amid the sweet sensations of violet and steeped cherries, spicy notes of pepper and cloves are temptingly perceptible. The mouth is explosive and warm, well balanced by the pleasantly savory dryness of the strong tannins that add elegance and enhance its enjoyment, with an aftertaste of small, sweet fruits preserved in spirits.
The label of this wine shows the fragment of an effigy that decorates an ancient Romanesque church located near our cellar. It depicts two winged lions guarding a vase of wine. Displaying it on our labels is our way of conveying the culture of our land to the rest of the world.
Amarone is an intense wine that needs to be paired with foods capable of standing up to the comparison with its flavorful power. Excellent with aged cheeses, it expresses the best of itself with dishes of game or very elaborate dishes like braised and slow-cooked meats. It is particularly intriguing paired with a platter of pork ribs in barbecue sauce.

Massimino Rosso Verona

Massimino Rosso Verona I.G.T.

Dense, impenetrable ruby red with garnet glints. Sweet aromas of raspberries, currants and wild strawberries joined by notes of vanilla and floral hints of red roses seduce the nose. Massimino is a wine that expressed a high degree of compactness in the mouth, but also excellent balance: the alcohol content is offset by the freshness, and the perceptibly savory dryness of the tannins accompany the tail, with a happy return of fruit jam at the very end.
This wine is dedicated to our father, Massimino, a man with a steadfast, determined character whose rather brusque manner concealed a great heart and an invariably benevolent gaze.
Massimino is a wine obtained from a brief raisining of the grapes that gives the wine an extra round, velvety character. Excellent with mixed platters of grilled meats, for an original pairing we suggest that you try it with spicy foods like a meat goulash or a spicy vegetable soup.

Semonte Alto

SEMONTE ALTO VALPOLICELLA RIPASSO DOC CLASSICO SUPERIORE

Semonte Alto has a rather dense, luminous ruby red color. Initially, the nose offers spiced and toasted hints, to open up with memories of dark fruit like blackberries and blueberries, liquorice and faded violets. On the palate it is taut, fresh and savory, with a nice tannin finish that cleanses the palate and invites another sip.
Matured in oaken barriques of moderate toasting, Semonte Alto is intense and spiced, like the great casks that lie, neatly aligned, one alongside the other, in our cellar.
Semonte Alto is a wine of strong character that accompanies highly flavored meat entrées such as stewed rabbit or roast pork with the appropriate energy. It also creates an interesting combination with soft cheeses with a ripe crust like brie.
Blend: Corvina 70%, Rondinella 25%, Molinara 5%
Alcohol by volume: 14.5% by vol.
Format available: 750 ml – 1500 ml bottles

It is then racked off and transferred to oaken casks where the wine matures for 12 months, after which is it bottled and aged for another 6 months.

Valpolicella Superiore

VALPOLICELLA DOC CLASSICO SUPERIORE CAMPOMASUA

Campomasua has a brilliant ruby color. It charms the nose with juicy, round fragrances reminiscent of ripe cherries fresh off the tree; hints of violet, pink pepper and a solid mineral base complete the olfactory composition. The mouth is well balanced and pleasing, with great linearity, very drinkable, with a clean finish of great elegance.
The sun’s rays warm the old stone drywall that supports our vines, spreading light and warmth that are concentrated, a little at a time, in the grapes. Campomasua is made from just those sun-warmed grapes.

The enormous drinkability of our Recioto makes it a gourmet wine, perfect to accompany a dessert of fancy biscuits or a tasty Sachertorte, but we recommend that you try it with savory dishes as well, such as aged cheese or a flavorful local salami. Try it and we’re sure you’ll agree!

Il Castelliere

il Castelliere PASSITO BIANCO VENETO IGT

On the palate it is intense, full-flavored and rich, with a sweet, juicy sensation reminiscent of canned peaches and a warm finish of toasted almonds.
The Garganega grapes from which this wine is made are traditionally grown in Valpolicella, but in small quantities, in the midst of long rows of red grape vines. We started producing this wine in the Nineties, almost on a bet, and we haven't been able to stop ever since.
It is an eclectic wine that goes well with sweet foods like custards, flaky biscuits and pastries, but it is outstanding with grassy cheeses that express a sharp, persistent flavor.

The wine has a sweet but strong character, just like our mother, Elisa, to whom this wine is dedicated.
